Limited Edition Prints of Sentences
Les Figues Press asked 8 artists and writers to donate sentences to the 2009 Give a Fig auction: Readymade. These sentences could be something the artist/writer wrote, or something taken from someone else, with or without permission. Marcus Civin made customized prints of each sentence, which each artist/writer approved.
Thank you to Marcus Civin and the 8 participating artists and writers: Dodie Bellamy, Kathleen Hanna, Kenneth Goldsmith, Ken Gonzales-Day, Kevin Killian, Eileen Myles, Yvonne Rainer, and Kara Tanaka. Special thanks also to the following individuals who lent their talents to the creation of these prints: Saehee Cho, Alexis Disselkoen, Alexander Goodman, John Greco (Josephine Press), Kathleen Healy, Sophia Kang, Kota Onouchi and Sandy de Lissovoy.
