Les Figues is proud to announce the launch of our first catalog! It features our new releases, forthcoming books, as well as our backlist. It can be read online, downloaded as a PDF, or printed from home, here.

Look for our next catalog, to be released in January 2014. There will be both print and online (pdf) versions; the catalog will be distributed to Les Figues members, friends, and readers of all varieties.

The catalog was designed and created by Chelsea McNay, Les Figues’ Marketing & Publicity Intern. Chelsea, a rising senior at Bard College at Simon’s Rock, was hired as part of the Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program. Established by the LA County Board of Supervisors, the Internship program provides undergraduate students with a deeper understanding of the work involved in nonprofit arts administration and the role of the arts community in LA County. It also provides students with valuable work experience helpful in their future careers.

Chelsea says of her internship experience, “I’ve had a wonderful time working with the other Les Figues interns and learning about what it takes to run an independent press. When I finish the internship, I know I’ll come away with more design and PR experience, and a new sense of my own career goals!”

This is the third year of Les Figues’ participation in the program, which has allowed for the completion of various projects focused primarily on PR, marketing, and media. Former interns include Chris Hershey-Van Horn and Emma Williams.
