Molly Corey

Molly Corey was born in 1972 on a commune in Southern Colorado. She received a Bachelors degree in anthropology and photography from the University California at Santa Cruz, a Masters in fine arts from Otis College of Art and Design and a Masters in Critical and Curatorial Studies from UCLA. She has taught art and art history at Loyola Marymount University, Otis College, and the University of California at Irvine. Her work has been exhibited at The University Art Gallery at the University of California at Irvine, Sixteen:One in Los Angeles, Occidental College in Los Angeles, The Project in New York City, and The Señar Art Academy in El Salvador. Corey has also curated a film series for the Hammer Museum called What Lies Between: The Autobiographical Impulse in Film and Video and was a participant in a collaborative project at LACMA’s LACMA Lab. The primary focus of her work is the interplay between memory and history. Corey lives and works in Los Angeles.
